In the middle of an upscale Dallas neighborhood filled with traditional-style architecture, there’s a pocket of six oddball modern homes. One of them, measuring two stories and 2,162 square feet, is now on the market for $525,000.

Built in 1987, the three-bedroom, three-bath home is topped by a circular dormer window and fronted by what look like silos. An unusual blue door, inset with glass panels, matches the circular window.

Like many modernist homes, this one combines spare lines with organic patterns. That aesthetic can be seen in the wooded bluff setting for the contemporary home.

“It’s in a heavily wooded, treed lot near a creek, so it almost feels like a treehouse,” explains listing agent Rocky Zablan.

So what about the silos? The circular structures house the walk-in closets. Each bedroom has a round closet, and there are “skylights in the tower, too, so the closets actually get natural light,” says Zablan.

The interior of the home is also contemporary, thanks to a $110,000 update done by the seller.

“The goal was to take that old ’80s style out of the house and modernize,” Zablan explains.

The renovation included adding cement floors, wooden stairs, metal railings along the upper walkway, floating shelves in the bedrooms and bathrooms, glass walk-in showers, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, wine fridges, and a glass backsplash in the kitchen.
