Singer and songwriter Charlie Puth is all grown-up. As proof, the chart-topping artist just bought a sophisticated home fit for a man with worldwide acclaim and money to spend.
The young man behind “See You Again” is selling his home in L.A.’s Hollywood Hills and moving into a $9 million mansion in Beverly Hills, CA. Not too shabby for a 26-year-old who got his start on YouTube.
Puth’s new Mid-Century Modern mansion was built by architect Rex Lotery in 1965. Fun fact: The home, located in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood, originally served as the development’s “Model home #1.”
The 4,439-square-foot, two-story mansion was constructed from redwood, glass, and stone. With three bedrooms, three baths, two powder rooms, and staff quarters (of course), there’s plenty of room for Puth to move around.
The home also offers plenty of privacy for the heartthrob. The property is gated, fenced, and surrounded by mature trees to deter paparazzi. Also included are the outdoor features that are de rigueur for Beverly Hills: heated pool, built-in furnishings, and fireplace.
The interiors are warm and masculine, with redwood lining the walls and glass windows displaying the Coldwater Canyon below.
This isn’t Puth’s first foray into the realm of real estate. His old Hollywood Hills home is on the market for $2.19 million. Puth had purchased the five-bedroom, six-bathroom, Mediterranean-style home for $1.9 million in 2015.
The “Attention” singer set tongues wagging on Dec. 1, when his ex Bella Thorne made a surprise appearance at Jingle Ball to introduce Puth’s performance. The former flames are reportedly back on good terms after a messy breakup earlier this year. Puth is still a YouTube powerhouse with more than 9.2 million subscribers to his channel.
