Former San Francisco Giants great Barry Bonds is selling his Hillsborough, CA home for $6.6 million. The legendary slugger, who starred in the big leagues for 22 seasons, bought the luxury estate in November 2015 for $6 million, according to property records.

No doubt, the 5,170-square-foot Mediterranean-style spread is a home run. Built in 2007, the five-bedroom, 5.5-bath offers an open and airy interior, with easy access to outdoor space.

There’s a soaring two-story entry, and high ceilings accentuate an open living area with exposed beams. The space features a gourmet kitchen with an eat-in dining area that opens to an outdoor patio. A family room adjoins the kitchen.

In addition to a huge master bedroom, there are three other bedroom suites, plus a guest house with bath and pantry.

The outdoors boasts a fireplace and lounge area, along with a kitchen and BBQ area for al fresco dining. A grassy backyard and a three-car garage complete the property.

The quiet enclave of Hillsborough, just south of San Francisco, is home to  many mansions. But its greatest appeal for tranquility-loving residents may be that it has no commercial zoning. Aside from the residences, there are four public and three private schools, a golf course, a country club, and small parks.

Since hanging up his bat, the 53-year-old has focused on training others. Bonds spent a season in 2015 as the Miami Marlins hitting coach. In 2017, the seven-time MVP officially rejoined the Giants organization as a special advisor to the CEO.
