NBA megastar LeBron James has officially gone Hollywood thanks to his new deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

But James’ business manager Maverick Carter is busy working on another L.A. deal: He’s selling his Los Angeles home in Hollywood Hills for $4.7 million. A high school friend of James, Carter purchased the modern pad for $3.47 million in 2015.

That was also the same year that James purchased a Los Angeles estate in posh Brentwood for $21 million (following it up with a second home purchase in the same area for $23 million in 2017), spurring rumors that James had his eye on eventually switching to the Lakers show.

Where there was smoke turned out to be fire: James agreed this weekend to join the Lakers with a four-year, $154 million contract.

Carter’s home itself is a slam-dunk. The 4,400-square-foot layout includes four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half-baths. The “private, luxurious compound” offers a “first class experience of true California living,” according to the listing.

Wide-plank wood flooring runs throughout the home, which offers views that stretch from the Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory to the San Gabriel Mountains. The backyard includes a saltwater pool, dining space, lounge area with a fire pit, and indoor-outdoor sound system. The property also comes with a guesthouse with a full bath and a kitchenette.

Indoors, there’s a living room with a fireplace, and kitchen with a breakfast bar. The standout dining area features a marble accent wall and a chandelier. There’s also a 480-bottle wine cellar, bar, and gym. The soundproof home theater features walls covered in Italian suede. The master suite opens to a private balcony, and includes a spa bath with a flat-screen TV and a fireplace.

Carter has managed James since 2006. He joins James, Rich Paul, and Randy Mims as partners in a sports marketing company named LRMR.
