M Waterfront Estate in Coral Gables Is This Week’s Most Expensive New Listing

A waterfront estate in Coral Gables, FL, on the market for $30 million is this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®.  The property last changed hands in 2014 for the relatively low price of $6.85 million. Four years later, there’s been a dramatic switcheroo.

The previous structure “was an old house and got demolished,” says listing agent Adriana Guerra de Castro.

In its place is a just-completed contemporary build with 11,609 square feet of living space, including nine bedrooms, nine baths, and three half-baths. It comes with 255 feet of water frontage and a deep-water boat dock.

The sellers enjoyed the process of creating this luxe space so much, they’re looking to build again nearby, and have put the mansion up for sale, according to the agent.

Located in the guard-gated community of Gables Estates, the home features spectacular views of gardens and waterways. The massive master suite includes a sitting area overlooking the water, a huge marble bathroom, and an outdoor shower. There’s also a formal dining room, living room, home theater, gym, and game room with a wet bar and wine storage. 

The resort-style entertainment area outside includes a kitchen and Japanese-style teppanyaki table, covered terraces, a rooftop deck, and infinity pool surrounded by fire bowls and fountains.

“The house is just spectacular. It has an absolutely amazing outdoor area,” Guerra de Castro says.

Located just outside of Miami, the city of Coral Gables made headlines when pop star Marc Anthony picked up a luxury compound there this summer for $19 million—the most ever paid for a property in the city.

Last year, a $45 million mansion in Coral Gables ranked as the most expensive listing of the week. That property, which is still available (at new price of $55 million!), is about a mile down the road from the $30 million mansion making its debut this week.
