It’s no secret that model and actress Brooklyn Decker is serious about creating impeccable spaces. The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl is a sucker for a good reno project.

Now a tech company owner, actress, wife, and mother of two, Decker pulls design inspiration from all facets of life. All you have to do is peep out her Instagram.

Here she is paying homage to style icon and author Amanda Brooks

She also snags ideas for her own home from design and decor books

She even draws inspiration from the swimming pool at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.

Decker recently put her decor and design skills to work remodeling her family’s mountain home in North Carolina.

It isn’t her first renovation project, and judging by her love of home design, it won’t be her last.

Every room in the cabin received the Decker touch. Well … almost every room.

The cabin looked like it needed a little TLC, and Decker was more than happy to give it the love it deserved.

She meticulously mocked up every space in the home. From the look of it, she had her hand in the whole design process, even custom-designing a few pieces and fixtures herself.

There are sketches of the kitchen as well as a drawing of a bathroom sink. Both depicted what she envisioned for her final project, and obviously, she had the resources to make her dynamic drawings spring to life.

Although she gutted many of the rooms and completely changed the look of the kitchen and the bathroom, the living space was left mostly in its original condition. Of course, the amazing windows pictured below were definitely worth saving.

And voilà! With some added personal style and homey touches, the finished living room is fit for a soiree—although clearly, Decker is living the ultimate mom life, with kids and dogs encroaching on the well-lit space.

A sucker for antiques and trinkets from the past, Decker likes to take old things…

…and breathe new life into them.

She’s solid at fusing together the contemporary and the antique in her spaces. She’s also a big fan of the reading nook—which we wholeheartedly endorse.

A custom reading loft built for her kids is the stuff of book-nerd-dreams—especially since it includes a collection of vintage children’s classics.

Check out more of the fabulous finished product by peeping at the slides below:

Thanks to Decker’s primo taste, eye for objects, and design know-how, her cozy Carolina cabin is where we’d like to relax and unwind.
