“When it comes to layering textiles, I think texture outweighs pattern every time,” says Drew Henry, founder of San Antonio, TX–based Design Dudes. “I love layering the same colors but with various types of fabrics and knits. I like the simplicity of this white throw, but the tassels add a little fun and drama.”

2. A cast-iron casserole dish

“This fire pit would be a great addition to any backyard or patio space,” says Henry. “I like that it comes with the mesh screen, and I think the copper metallic look on the base is great. It is also a really easy piece to add in to your patio decor without breaking the budget.”

“I really like the simplicity of this stoneware pitcher (short, $14.99; tall, $19.99),” says Henry. “The white glaze with the simple tan detailing would fit nicely into any color palette. The handmade feel looks like it would work really well in more rustic decor schemes. I think one really nice feature is that it can be used for both hot and cold beverages.”

7. Metal lanterns

Metal lanterns (small, $24.99; large, $39.99) add tons of character to the front steps or porch. Light the way for your guests and trick-or-treaters this fall with these striking accessories. The small one is 12 inches in height, while the large is 20 inches. Put ’em together for a warm welcome.

8. Soup bowl set
