3,500-acre ranch along the Santa Barbara coast landed on the market for $110 million, making it the week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®.

Known as El Rancho Tajiguas, the sprawling compound in Goleta, CA, comes with two villas—Villa della Costa and Villa del Mare. Built within the past five years, the ocean-facing homes are located on opposite ends of the property. Each has five bedrooms, a guesthouse, wine cellar, home theater, pool, and helipad, according to listing agent Randall Solakian.

And, of course, they both come with spectacular views of the surrounding area and coastline.

“They’re brand-new and were never lived in,” says Solakian. Designed to blend in with the natural landscape, both homes boast modern amenities, including electronic control systems and solar power. “Nothing’s missing,” he adds.

El Rancho Tajiguas dates back centuries and was originally a land grant from Carlos III, the King of Spain. The breathtaking property includes natural open spaces and hillside, coastal meadows, orchards, and grassland, along with income-generating farmlands and cattle range.

The combination of working ranch and retreat, the luxury villas, privacy, and proximity to nearby Santa Barbara and Montecito are “unparalleled,” Solakian says.

Along with the villas, there are multiple buildings for staff and farm equipment. But a buyer eyeing the property with hopes of building more homes might want to think twice.

“The fact that these two large, ultrahigh-quality homes exist is a miracle,” Solakian says. “This coastline is very sensitive, and unchanged for hundred of years. Gaviota coast is protected and restricted.”

The spectacular spread is linked to businessman Mansour Ojjeh, according to the Wall Street Journal. The company connected to him has held the real estate for four decades.

While it’s a pricey property, there’s also a priceless quality to it.

“There’s a lot of value in these incredible homes, and then there’s massive intangible value in the concept of this one-of-a-kind world of your own,” says Solakian.
