Most Expensive Listing: $75M NYC Penthouse With Central Park Views

Most Expensive Listing: M NYC Penthouse With Central Park Views

Evan Joseph/Corcoran

A real estate mogul is trading in his Central Park views for the Hudson Yards.

Billionaire real estate developer Stephen Ross, along with his wife, Kara Ross, have listed their swanky penthouse in Manhattan’s Time Warner building. Thanks to its $75 million price tag, the unit has earned the title of this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®.

The Rosses are apparently headed to an equally posh pad in the Hudson Yards, the West Side megaproject developed by Stephen’s company.

On the top floor of the South Tower, the Central Park location that they’re leaving behind still has plenty to offer. The 8,500-square-foot condo is only a couple of decades old, and is on the market for the first time.

With interiors created by the designers Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper, the modern spaces incorporate luxe finishes and the owners’ artwork, such as a giant sculpture of orange Creamsicle bars.

Along with a private elevator, the entry boasts inlaid stone floors, and continues to the 42-foot-long living room, with floor-to-ceiling windows showing off dramatic views of Central Park. The space also includes dual fireplaces, flooring made of bubinga wood, and beams and moldings of padauk wood.

A separate dining room boasts marble floors, textured walls, and views of the city and park. In addition, the professional chef’s kitchen includes a center island, high-end appliances, and marble counters. A breakfast nook leads into a media room overlooking the Hudson River.

As for the private spaces, the layout features a corner master suite with two marble bathrooms and two dressing rooms. The wing also features four more ensuite bedrooms, one that is being used as a gym, and another that houses a golf simulator. In addition, the layout includes a staff room with ensuite bath.

Residents enjoy the perks of white-glove service, including 24-hour door attendants, fitness center, pool, and valet parking and garage.

Should you want to venture out, you don’t need to go far. The building is part of the massive Time Warner Center (Related, Ross’s company, partnered in the project). The complex features numerous high-end shopping and dining options, as well as Whole Foods, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center performance venue.
