It isn’t very often you can drive up to the curb and introduce yourself to one of your favorite HGTV stars. And we’re not talking Joanna Gaines, Tarek El-Moussa, or even one of the Property Brothers.

HGTV fans have gone bonkers for the network’s 2018 HGTV Dream Home located in Gig Harbor, WA. It’s on the market for $1.7 million. Well, it was for a hot minute.

“We had stalkers,” laughs listing agent Michael Morrison. “People would sit in the driveway—all of the HGTV fans.”

And who could blame them? This gorgeous piece of property sits on more than an acre on Henderson Bay, with 90 feet of water frontage. With three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 2,100 square feet, the contemporary-coastal home is every bit as breathtaking as its pristine surroundings.

The interiors are bathed in cool whites and neutrals that let the incredible floor-to-ceiling water views provide most of the drama. Outdoors, a substantial deck and shade structure offer ample space to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty in comfort and style.

Morrison told us the sale of the home also includes the furniture, which was handpicked by HGTV designers.

HGTV has a full website dedicated to the home, which shows incredible before-and-after pics and details the jaw-dropping transformation of the entire property into a Pacific Northwest showplace anyone would be thrilled to call home.

According to Morrison, the initial winner of the HGTV Dream Home contest decided to pass on the property and take the cash payout instead. The home was then sold to its current owners, who, he says, adore the property, but are selling because they now have to relocate to Texas for work.

With its prestigious pedigree, it didn’t take long to attract a buyer for the property. It was initially listed on Jan. 4, and Morrison says he already has a buyer working through the process and three other buyers waiting in line should the deal fall through.

In the meantime, this beauty sits ready for its next close-up, and a very lucky new owner who gets to live in a piece of HGTV history—Property Brother not included.
