International Soccer Star Tim Cahill Selling .75M New Jersey Mansion

Soccer star Tim Cahill has listed his Saddle River, NJ, mansion for $6.75 million. The midfielder—who recently retired from the sport after a 20-year career spanning multiple continents—is also retiring his luxury abode.

We have to say that his Colonial-style residence is a “Goal!” It comes with over 10,000 square feet of living space, eight bedrooms, and 8.5 bathrooms.

Set on 3 acres, the “magnificent mansion” with a gated entry is ideal for outdoor entertaining, with an infinity pool, a cabana with kitchen and bar, and a hibachi table.

Indoors is just as welcoming. Along with formal dining room and living rooms, there’s a large kitchen with a casual dining area that opens to the patio. Luxurious details include metallic polish plaster walls, and an elevator on all four floors. Plus, all the bedrooms are ensuite, and the finished attic features a gym and spa.

But the fun is just beginning. Try a hand at all the sports, with an indoor basketball court, a soccer field, and a golf simulator. If you prefer less athletic activities, you can choose from a movie theater, a recording studio, and a game room.

The location also has its perks. It’s just 17 miles from Manhattan, and boasts excellent schools. Cahill’s purchase of a New Jersey mansion coincides with his three-season sojourn with the New York Red Bulls of the MLS.

The 39-year-old’s storied career has taken him to teams around the globe. In addition to playing for the Red Bulls, he starred for years with the English clubs Millwall and Everton. He also laced up his boots for teams in Australia, China, and India.

He’s the leading goal scorer for the Australian national team, having scored 50 goals in 108 appearances with the Socceroos. In March this year, Cahill handed in his cleats, expressing an interest in pursuing coaching and a TV career.
