Oscar winner Jodie Foster is selling her award-worthy home in Beverly Hills, CA, for $15.9 million, according to the Observer.

Built in 1952, the two-story home has been substantially updated and expanded since its original construction, and offers a spacious 7,500 square feet. The A-lister and her wife, Alexandra Hedison, purchased the five-bedroom place in 2012 for $11,750,117.

Photos of the gated and private residence are limited, but according to the listing description, the “idyllic traditional estate” is located on “one of the most coveted view streets in the city.” The location is also a huge plus—secluded, yet close to all the conveniences of 90210.

“The unique part is the combination of being in the hills, the privacy, the big yard, and sweeping views,” says listing agent David Kramer with Hilton & Hyland. “It’s very difficult to find all of those in the same house.” He calls the East Coast-style traditional “elegant and timeless” and “one of those houses that will never look old.”

A private garden walkway leads into a two-story formal entry with a modern light fixture. The large formal living room includes a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows. The gourmet eat-in kitchen leads out through French doors to an outdoor dining area, surrounded by mature trees, gardens, grassy lawn, a pool, and views of downtown and the ocean.

While there are no photos of the private quarters upstairs, the master suite is said to include vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a fireplace, and a viewing deck that can also be accessed from the bathroom.

Foster, 56, is without a doubt one of the major talents of our time. But her touch with real estate hasn’t always been golden.

She last made housing-related headlines in 2013, when she listed a mansion in Los Angeles’ “Bird Streets” for $6.4 million. It took over a year, plus several price cuts, before the property was finally sold, for just under $5 million.

The Los Angeles native, who won Academy Awards for her roles in “The Accused” and “Silence of the Lambs,” most recently starred in the dystopian thriller “Hotel Artemis.”
