Actor Tom Arnold and his wife, Ashley Groussman, a professional home organizer, purchased a contemporary-style home in Beverly Hills in 2009. This was the year the couple were married, and they set out to remodel and renovate to make the home their own.

A decade later, the home looks great, but the marriage not so much—the couple recently announced they are amicably splitting up. The news comes just days after they put the two-story home on the market for $3,850,000.

“They did a major remodel, which included reconfiguring the upstairs, adding bedrooms, [as well as] gutting and updating the kitchen and bathrooms,” says listing agent Rachelle Rosten. The home now has five bedrooms and 4.5 baths.

“They worked with Tracie Butler Interior Design to create a dramatic and dynamic space using color to brighten the place and add warmth,” says Rosten.

That color and warmth are evident throughout the 4,636-square foot house, but nowhere more so than in the whimsical decoration of their children’s bedrooms and playroom.

Groussman and Arnold have two kids, and the children’s bedrooms and the playroom are a youngster’s dream.

Arnold’s own office is also colorful, light, and interesting. The new gourmet kitchen, done in an elegant shade of spearmint, also reflects a tasteful use of color.

The large kitchen space offers a center island, an eat-in breakfast area, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, a modern crystal chandelier, decorative wine storage, and a flat-screen TV.

“The master suite is dreamy,” says Rosten, elaborating on one of her favorite features of the home. It features two walk-in closets, a gym, and a spacious, spalike bathroom done in warm, neutral shades to inspire relaxation.

“They love to entertain, so the remodel focused on both private and public spaces in the home,” Rosten elaborates. As for those public spaces, the lush backyard truly shines, with its gated saltwater pool and spa, built-in BBQ, and dining/lounging areas.

“Every room is surprising and fun, just like the owners,” says Rosten, and some of the festive wallpaper choices offer visual proof.

Arnold, age 59, began his career as a stand-up comedian and writer for “Roseanne” and eventually married Roseanne Barr. He split from Barr in 1994, the year he starred in “True Lies.” He’s also starred in many television series, such as “The Tom Show,” “Sons of Anarchy,” and most recently “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes With Tom Arnold.”
