Actress Kirstie Alley is about to say “cheers and farewell” to her life in a classic Italianate mansion in Los Angeles‘ trendy Los Feliz area. She’s selling her West Coast home of almost 15 years for $11,970,000.

Built in 1932, the 8,622-square-foot mansion is described as a palazzo because of its Italian-influenced design. The actress purchased the place for $1.15 million in 2003, and has done a remarkable job maintaining, preserving, and restoring some of its original features.

Those features include handcarved woodwork, rose windows, painted murals, gilded moldings, and decorated fireplaces.

She’s also maintained the fascinating tile work in a couple of the bathrooms. One features scenes of underwater sea life, jellyfish and all, while another is based on a tropical garden with flowers.

The home has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half-baths. It sits on a large lot that backs right up to Griffith Park. The property also comes with a pool and pool house, and the colorful landscaping includes brooks, grottoes, and ponds.

There’s also a massive cage that contains at least a dozen of Alley’s pet ring-tailed lemurs. According to Variety, Alley has a full-time caretaker for the animals and that neighbors will probably not be sad to see them go, as they’re known to be a bit screechy.

Alley also has a home on an island off the coast of Maine, and a waterfront mansion and several other homes in Clearwater, FL.

Alley is best known for her starring role on the TV show “Cheers.” Most recently, she appeared as part of the regular cast in the second season of “Scream Queens,” and competed on the British version of “Celebrity Big Brother.”
