The Jensen family had a solid run in the New Canaan, CT, dream home the “Property Brothers” stars renovated for them in 2016.

However, “Property Brothers” Season 10 participants Dave and Lizzy Jensen are now ready to move on from the home masterfully reimagined by the Scott brothers. They’re selling their four bedroom, 2.5-bath traditional ranch house for $1,039,000.

In early 2016, the Jensens found what they considered to be the perfect spot for their growing family, which included three children, two of them twins. They paid $890,000 for the home, originally built in 1955.

The property required some work—in a hurry—since Lizzy was due with baby No. 4. In stepped Jonathan and Drew Scott. In the episode called “Delivering a Dream Home Just in Time,” the brothers turned the place into everything the Jensens hoped the 2,902-square-foot home could be.

The Scott brothers took out some of the interior walls and gave the previously closed-off home a spacious open floor plan where the kitchen, family room, living room, and dining area flow seamlessly into one another.

The great room area was dark and foreboding, so lighter paint—especially on the brick fireplace—really brightened the place up.

An island was added in the kitchen, along with quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances. Since this is a teetotal family, the Scotts converted what some would use as a wine refrigerator into a juice/water cooler.

The newly light and bright mudroom/laundry room was also a big hit—it’s an especially essential room for a large (and growing) family.

The four bedrooms include a master suite with a bath, a nursery, a child’s room, and a bunk room that sleeps four, ideal for sleepovers.

The family also enjoyed gathering in the loft-style family room.

Outside, on the 1.38 acre lot, there’s an accommodating playground area for the kids, a fire pit with seating, and a terrace for dining.

New Canaan is known as a commuter town, a calm, convenient, bucolic place for families to live when one or both parents head to work in New York City. This house is just minutes from both the quaint New Canaan town center and the train station that whisks riders into the big city.

When the house was completed, Lizzy blogged, “As we walked into our living room, and then on to our kitchen and dining room I was completely stunned and got a bit emotional. … As I gazed over the different rooms with Dave and the girls, it was as if I could see us there, making cookies in the kitchen with the kids, studying and writing in my office, and talking about life.”

Jonathan and Drew really nailed it, as usual.

Now it’s time for a new family to come and enjoy this televised renovation. Potential buyers had better act fast.

With the median list price in New Canaan coming in at right around $1.5 million, it’s apparent that the Jensens aren’t asking for a major “Property Brothers” premium. Fans of the Scotts had better sprint if they want to score this gem.
