Disgruntled 49ers Kicker Robbie Gould Giving the Boot to Illinois Home
Robbie Gould, kicker for the 49ers, looks like he’s about to score on a sale of his Illinois home. On the market for $1.15 million, the Kildeer residence is in contingent sale status.
The All-Pro listed the home almost a year ago for $1.29 million, then dropped the price in February. The disgruntled 49er had purchased the Normandy-style home for $1.2 million in 2009, during his 11-season tenure with the Chicago Bears.
Though Gould will take a small loss on the sale, the price chop strategy looks like a winner. Let’s take a peek inside.
The 5,400-square-foot, five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home features custom woodwork in every room. The large, open kitchen includes high-end appliances, granite and marble counters, a butler’s pantry, and wet bar.
The cooking space looks out to a casual eating area and family room. In addition, a formal dining room with an up-lit tray ceiling and crown molding can host family gatherings or dinner parties.
Upstairs you’ll find four bedrooms, including the master suite and bath, with an oversize shower and heated floors. The suite also includes an attached office decorated with sports memorabilia.
The lower level features an updated kitchen, bedroom, bath, fireplace, gym, and lounge.
Other perks include an in-house sound system, three-car garage, and an optional wine cellar.
While Gould is as good as gone from this home, it’s unclear where he and his family will land. The kicker recently pulled out of negotiations for a long-term deal with the Niners, and the 36-year-old told the team he wants to be traded and plans to hold out.
