There are many regal homes in Malibu, CA. And there are plenty of others on the market for a king’s ransom. But we know of only one home in the area actually owned by a true European prince.

Prince Alexander von Fürstenberg is willing to part with his Malibu home for a ho-hum sum of $3.75 million.

In fact, “this beachfront home with four bedrooms for under $4 million is one of the best-priced properties out there,” says listing agent Sandro Dazzan of The Agency. “It’s done in today’s taste and beach-casual style, yet it’s still elegant.” Plus, the sales price includes all the furniture.

Which is a royal deal, especially when compared with other properties right on the beach in Malibu.

All furniture is included in the sale.

Alexander is the only son of fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg and Prince Egon von Fürstenberg. His parents eventually divorced, and his mother later married media mogul Barry Diller.

Alexander has had a successful career in finance, which has included restructuring Diane von Fürstenberg Studio and serving as chief investment officer of Arrow Investments, a private investment office that serves the Diller–von Furstenberg family.

Alexander is also interested in aquatic activity, which lead him to purchase this particular home in Malibu. It offers some of the best surfing, diving, and fishing on the coast right in the backyard, says Dazzan.

A popular surf break known as “Staircases” is just seconds away, and a quick kayak ride away is a fishing spot known as “Deep Hole,” which has yielded sea bass, halibut, tuna, and even lobsters.

Also, the wind makes this particular area a “kitesurfing mecca,” says Dazzan. “It’s perfect for the person who loves the ocean and wants to be active.”

The home has been fully renovated, from top to bottom. The floors were redone, and a spa room with a sauna and rain shower was added.

There are three levels, plus an extra loft and bonus space where you can stash your surfboard, kayak, or any other beach equipment. The interior measures 2,228 square feet, and it’s located in the gated Malibu Bay Club. It’s on a corner lot with no neighbors on two sides, so it offers both beach and mountain views.

So why would the prince ever want to leave this beach paradise? Dazzan says he has several other properties in the Malibu area and is going to focus on them. It figures a prince would have multiple properties in such a regal area for real estate.
