Out of This World! Jackie Gleason’s ‘Spaceship’ House Is Week’s Most Popular Home

Greetings, earthlings: We’re over the moon for our most popular listing this week, a spaceship-like house designed by comedian and TV star Jackie Gleason.

The otherworldly retreat in Cortlandt Manor, NY, has been getting an astronomical number of clicks, and we can see why. The main house, known as “The Mothership,” and its guest cottage, “The Spaceship,” are nestled on 8.5 woodsy acres, and are both completely spherical. Built in the 1950s, the property was owned by Gleason for 12 years, and was eventually picked up by the current owner for just $150,000 in 1976. Today, it’s on the market for an even $12 million.

Coming in second place is a newly built metal home in Florence, MS. The contemporary design, listed at $295,000, features glass roll-up doors and an open concept. We also couldn’t look away from country superstar Jason Aldean’s sparkling equestrian estate in Columbia, TN, for $6.8 million, or the “mother of all fixer-uppers” in Hayward, CA, for $325,000.
