Music impresario Sean Combs, aka Puff Daddy, has finally offloaded his Manhattan pied-à-terre for $5.7 million. The sale price is well below the $8.5 million Combs had hoped for when the property first hit the market five years ago, according to Variety. On the plus side, the sale price is a couple of million more than what Combs paid in 2005.

The 2,300-square-foot unit in the Park Imperial building in midtown features a large foyer, eat-in kitchen with views of the skyline, living/dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and den with walk-in wet bar.

Unfortunately for Combs and the new buyer, the two-bedroom, two-bath unit lost a bit of allure over the years. The place once offered total Central Park views, which were later obstructed by a couple of tall buildings rising from Central Park West and West 57th Street.

“Central Park sells,” says Whitney Didier, the Douglas Elliman agent who represented both the buyer and seller. “Obstruction of view does make a difference. That’s the nature of New York City.”

Combs still owns a waterfront property on Miami Beach’s Star Island, a contemporary in East Hampton, NY, and a mansion in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles.
