Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Selling His Kansas City Penthouse

There’s the cliché that says, “Dress for the job you want.” In the case of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, it’s time to start living for the job you have.

The cannon-armed signal caller has upgraded his living situation to befit his status as one of the NFL’s rising stars. After purchasing a bigger house earlier this year, the 23-year-old native of Tyler, TX, is now selling his penthouse unit at Bellevue Plaza in Kansas City, MO, for $485,000.

With only nine units in the entire building, the Belleview Plaza offers luxury living and accommodations, including a coveted rooftop deck. Location is also a big plus—it’s only a stone’s (or pigskin’s) throw from Arrowhead Stadium.

Mahomes’ penthouse unit measures in at a relatively modest 1,800 square feet and offers two bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The master suite features blackout window coverings, a huge tub, and a walk-in closet.

The listing is being represented by Sarah Brookfield of Re/Max Premier Realty. Mahomes has already upgraded to a $1.95 million residence in the suburbs.

He’s outfitted his new home in Overland Park, KS, with a custom-designed room dedicated to his sneaker collection.

Mahomes, the son of former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes, was a two-sport athlete before he quit baseball to focus on football while attending Texas Tech University.

In just his second year with the Chiefs, Mahomes took over the starting QB duties and promptly threw for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns. He became the only quarterback in history to throw for over 5,000 yards in a season in both the NFL and college level.

Mahomes also joined Tom Brady and Peyton Manning as the only players in NFL history to throw at least 50 touchdown passes in a single season. Mahomes was named to the Pro Bowl and First Team All-Pro, and won Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player.
