Chip and Joanna’s ‘Barndominium’ Is the Week’s Most Popular Home
It’s no great shock to see a Chip and Joanna Gaines–affiliated property top this week’s most popular homes on realtor.com®.
The Gaines’ HGTV show, “Fixer Upper,” has become a ratings juggernaut, and their remodeling work has turned Waco, TX, into a must-visit destination for fans. One of the properties they remodeled has rocketed to the top of our list.
Our first-place finisher is a “barndominium” the couple worked on in Season 3. After the renovation, the home changed hands and was turned into a lucrative vacation rental for fans who wanted to get a close-up of a “Fixer Upper” home. After a wee bit of local controversy, the home’s now on the market for $1.2 million—and the listing is attracting many curious folks who don’t want to make the trek to Waco.
A curious cabin in Georgia, a Hollywood star’s home in the unlikely locale of Modesto, CA, and a Kentucky castle also made our list.
We’d be royally bummed if you didn’t want to investigate this week’s most popular properties. Scroll on down for the full list.
