Basketball Hall of Famer Chris Mullin wants to score a sale of his Manhasset, NY, mansion. He just put the renovated Tudor back on the market for $3.39 million.

Mullin recently stepped down as head basketball coach of St. John’s University in Queens, NY, and is now ready to “do something different.”

The legendary scorer first placed the home on the market in 2016 for $3.85 million. In 2018, the ask dropped to $3.575 million, with no takers. Mullin purchased the property for $3.5 million in October 2015.

Now, he’s motivated enough to chop the price down to below what he originally paid.

Set on over an acre and built in 1938, the traditional-style abode opens to a foyer and staircase. Along with a formal living room with a fireplace, and a formal dining room, the layout includes a gourmet kitchen and office.

Our favorite spot is the glassed-in conservatory, which currently features a casual dining area, and opens to a family room.

The six-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom space includes a master suite and a private guest suite. A second-floor deck overlooks the patio and picturesque property.

On the lower level, a finished basement with a rec room sports Mullin’s basketball memorabilia.

The lowered price may be a good strategy for an older home in an area with a median list price of $1,593,000. The town is an easy commute to Manhattan, as well as to Mullin’s former employer in Queens.

Born in Brooklyn, the 55-year-old starred in college ball at St. John’s, then professionally with the Golden State Warriors and the Indiana Pacers. The five-time NBA All-Star was also a two-time Olympic gold medalist. After he hung up his jersey, Mullin joined the Warriors as a special assistant, and later became a NBA analyst for ESPN.
