“The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah has reportedly picked up a West Coast property for the jaw-dropping sum of $20.5 million, according to real estate site Yolanda’s Little Black Book. The buyer’s name remains shielded behind a trust, property records show.
The 1.3-acre property last changed hands in 2015 for $3,745,000, and the structure on the land was demolished. What’s gone up in its place is a new, massive 10,000-square-foot mansion. The contemporary build went on the market in November 2018 for $21 million, and sold just a week later for slightly under the asking price.
Overlooking the Bel Air Golf Course, the sleek spec home offers views of downtown, the Getty Center, and Pacific Ocean.
The gated abode features glass walls that open, allowing indoor-outdoor living. The interiors boast 24-foot-high ceilings, and a great room with a bar and fireplace. The chef’s kitchen features dual marble islands, Miele appliances, and a climate-controlled wine room.
Upscale amenities include a cigar room, den with fireplace, formal dining room with weeping wall, home theater, staff quarters, butler’s kitchen, cabana room, and a three-car display garage.
The upper level features a 2,200-square-foot master suite and bar, sitting room, dual baths, and 800-square-foot terrace. There are two more en suite bedrooms and a “VIP suite” with a private terrace.
Outdoors, there’s a 62-foot-long pool and grassy yard.
Noah made headlines in 2017 for snapping up a $10 million penthouse in Midtown Manhattan. It has three bedrooms, two baths, and a 29-foot-long living and dining room.
The South African–born performer took over the Comedy Central program in 2015. In addition to his hosting duties, he wrote a best-selling memoir, “Born a Crime.” He’s co-producing the film adaptation, starring Lupita Nyong’o, who will play his mother. His stand-up set, “Son of Patricia,”can be viewed on Netflix.
