Want to buy the home of one of the best pure hitters in baseball? Now’s your chance: Miguel Cabrera, first baseman and super slugger for the Detroit Tigers, is selling his home in Birmingham, MI, for $2 million.

According to listing agent Maureen Francis, Cabrera bought the house in 2008, the same year the seven-bedroom Tudor was built and during his first season in the Motor City.

“It was a spec [build], but they bought it early enough that they could make selections for finishes,” Francis says.

And since the 32-year-old Venezuelan slugger often hosts family get-togethers, he looked for a home with plenty of space.

“After purchasing it, they finished the bonus room upstairs, added two bedrooms in the basement, and put in a gorgeous media room. They also recently added the outdoor patio with built-in grill and fire pit,” Francis says.

The 5,762-square-foot home features a paneled library with coffered ceiling, hardwood floors, a finished basement with bar (can you say man cave?), and a media room with leather seats.

“They love watching movies, so the media room was the first thing to go in after they purchased,” Francis says.

The two-time American League MVP recently picked up a $3.2 million spot in Grosse Pointe, for which he paid in cash, according to The Detroit News.

“The Cabreras loved living in Birmingham, and many of Miguel’s friends from Tigers live nearby in Birmingham. But last year, Miguel decided he would like to be closer to the ballpark to cut down his commute,” Francis says before adding a final pitch: “They lived in 380 Fairfax when Miguel won MVP [twice] and the Triple Crown.” It sounds like a winner to us!
