While the signal caller wasn’t able to lead the Bears to the promised land, his home is a proven winner thanks to its savvy blend of size and style in an ideal location next to Lake Michigan.

Besides Cutler’s crib, you were also interested in a clutch of classic homes across the country, a Fort Wayne mansion with a massive price cut, and a beautiful “barndominium” in Texas.

Price: $699,000
Why it’s here: A wave of renewed interest washed over this fabulous mansion after the price was cut nearly in half this week, from  $1.19 million. Listing agent Bette Sue Rowe says she’s had multiple showings each day and called the home “the grandest on the block.”

Price: $249,000
Why it’s here: Listing agent Nina Magnani says this four-bedroom Victorian home has a “cool vibe.” The owners “carefully and meticulously restored” the home, which was built in 1880, and the result is a mix of old-school cool and modern touches, she adds. Allegedly built for a former coal baron, the pristine home has stoked the fire of locals looking for a classic home.

Price: $465,000
Why it’s here: “It’s the buzz of the community,” says listing agent Michael Yingling. He says many people want to see it, and among those who have, their response is simply, “Wow, wow, and wow.” The homeowners spent around $450,000 to overhaul the home, but they had to leave the area. Their labor of love will likely sell to a buyer from outside the area, Yingling says.

Why it’s here: Known as the Smith House, this classic six-bedroom home would be a cozy spot to spend a Maine winter, thanks to its eight working fireplaces.

Why it’s here: It’s a massive restoration project that could pay big dividends on Philly’s Main Line. Known as Lynnewood Hall, this 110-room mansion will require an additional $3 million to $7 million to restore to its former glory.

Price: $425,000
Why it’s here: According to listing agent Ann Woodward, this converted farmhouse is “absolutely beautiful.” Renovations on the old stone building were begun in 1980 by a previous owner, then carried forward by the current homeowners. Those renovations have turned this rustic farm into a space worth shouting about.

Why it’s here: Marketed as “the home you drove by for years and always wished you could live in,” this five-bedroom home built in the 1880s will shortly make someone’s wish come true. It’s already in sale pending status.

Price: $399,000
Why it’s here: It’s another testament to the undeniable might of “barndominiums.” This three-bedroom home is about a half-hour outside Fort Worth. Listing agent Tom Whitmore says the barn’s rural location means it’ll be on the market a little longer than a typical barndominium. He notes that one of the home’s highlights is the party patio out back that looks right out onto open pasture.
