Gloria Estefan Relists Her Stellar Star Island Compound for M

C’mon everybody, do the conga … over to Gloria Estefan’s Star Island guest home. It’s now on the market for $32 million, the Real Deal reports.

The Latin pop phenom is trying again to sell the Miami Beach compound that’s located just down the street from where she lives with her husband, Emilio Estefan.

Maybe the second time (plus an $8 million price drop!) is the charm? The couple first placed the property on the market in 2015 for $40 million, with no takers.

While waiting for a buyer, the Grammy winner listed the eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom spread on the market as a rental, known as Nena’s Villa. Tenants could rent out the guest cottage for $30,000 a month, but rent on the main house was a whopping $75,000 a month. 

Emilio originally purchased the place for his mother, according to the Real Deal. After she died, the plan was for his children to move in. Instead the property was offered as a rental as far back as 2013, before the couple initially attempted to lure a buyer in 2015.

Set on 1.34 acres, the gated retreat offers 240 feet of water frontage, lush landscaping, and unobstructed Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami views.   

It was built in the ’40s and fully restored in 1995, and its layout offers five beds and 4.5 baths. Relax in the master suite with a cast-iron pedestal tub. Outside, the grounds offer a heated pool, hot tub, and a summer kitchen under a gazebo.

The separate guesthouse contains three beds and three baths. The layout features a living room with 30-foot ceilings and centers around a large courtyard.

Out back, there’s a private dock with an electric boat lift. If you’re looking for a complete redo, new plans by architect Carlos Ott are available.

The swanky but small South Florida island has been the home of a number of celebrities. Shaquille O’Neal, Rosie O’Donnell, and Don Johnson have reportedly all owned homes there. 

Along with a number of chart-topping hits, Estefan is estimated to have sold 115 million records worldwide.
