Hitting the Road? Golf Legend Mark Calcavecchia Selling Jupiter, FL, Mansion
Golf legend Mark Calcavecchia has no plans to slow down. In fact, according to this video, he plans on playing on the Champions Tour for at least the next four or five years.
This may be related to his newfound lifestyle: piloting a luxury bus around the country for tournaments. In the video from the Golf Channel, Calcavecchia and his real estate agent wife, Brenda, give a glimpse into their road trip adventures.
Calcavecchia also discusses the three things he does well—golf (duh), driving, and making reservations. Driving a luxury bus to tournaments means he’s leaning in into two of those strengths.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed whether their life on the road is a contributing factor, we noticed that the Calcavecchias are now selling their Jupiter, FL, mansion. Brenda is serving as the listing agent.
This is the second Florida home Calcavecchia has bought and sold. In December 2015, he put his waterfront mansion in Tequesta, FL, up for sale for $5.5 million. It sold the following April at that asking price.
This week’s listing has debuted with a similar price point: $5.75 million.
The over 6,800-square-foot house in Jupiter is just as luxurious— if not more so—than the golfer’s previous Florida home. It features three bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The home underwent a complete renovation in 2018, and the interior looks like something out of a magazine.
When you live in Florida, you want all the sunshine you can get, and this home’s enormous windows accommodate abundant amounts of natural light. There are a host of custom finishes, including coffered ceilings in the main living spaces and a wire-suspension wine room. We’re also in love with the media center.
The backyard is all about enjoying the outdoors. The home overlooks a picturesque lake on a golf course, of course. The pool is anything but ordinary. It’s huge and custom-shaped, and features an island with palm trees, a hot tub, and waterfalls. And the large lanai makes living outdoors, even in peak summer, totally possible.
Life on the road in a luxury bus sounds like a good time, but could Calcavecchia really be leaving this luxe abode for an itinerant lifestyle? Looks like it—as long his wife receives an offer that isn’t … sub-par.
