MLB Hall of Famer Tom Glavine Sells Luxurious Florida Mansion for .25M

Almost five years after snapping up a luxury beachfront manse in Rosemary Beach, FL, MLB Hall of Famer Tom Glavine has sold it for $10.25 million.

“It’s an extraordinary sale in our market, that’s for sure,” says listing agent Chris Abbott of The Chris Abbott Group in Santa Rosa Beach, FL.

Glavine purchased the five-bedroom home in July 2011 for $7.3 million, making it the second-most expensive home sold on 30-A that year. It went back on the market in September 2015 for $11.75 million, eventually selling last month.

Located on the Gulf of Mexico side of 30-A, the gorgeous property was a decorator show home for Southern Accents Magazine and is perched above the beach.

It was built in 2001 by architect Lew Oliver, working with interior designer Phillip Sides, and underwent a renovation in 2008. Boasting an outdoor pool and water views from almost every nook and cranny in the home (plus quite a few verandas), it also has a one-bedroom carriage house above a two-car garage. Lofted-beam ceilings and an open layout cultivate a chic beach house feel.
