Oknha Pung Kheav Se receives an honorary doctorate from Royal Academy of Cambodia

On November 21, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia has presided over the inauguration of the Indra Devi Building of the Royal Academy of Cambodia on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Academy of Cambodia in conjunction with Samdech Techo Hun Sen announced the nominated of six honorary titles, three dignitaries of the honorary doctorate, and eleven graduates of the doctorate and master degree of the Royal Academy of Cambodia.

On behalf of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, Prime Minister Hun Sen awarded an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration to Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se, renowned investor, in recognition of his great contribution to the socio-economic development of Cambodia. “Indra Devi building is a new achievement for the Royal Academy of Cambodia, a place where intellectual resources are served for the benefit of society.” Samdech Said.

The Indira Devi building was a valuable gift from Samdech Techo Hun Sen to the Royal Academy of Cambodia through the Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se, who has spent over $1.54 million.

Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canadia Bank and Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC), the company behind this US$1.5 billion project, has committed to finishing construction of the new Phnom Penh International Airport before turning 87 years old, marking another major achievement for him in Cambodia.

OCIC has so far invested in numerous large projects in Cambodia such as Diamond Island Development City, Olympia City, and most notably the current rapid development of Chroy Changvar Satellite City. Currently, Oknha Pung Kheav Se is also the President of the Cambodian Constructors Association (CCA), which is actively involved in the development of the Cambodian construction sector.
