Music Legend Carlos Santana Buys Harmonious Hawaii Home for .7M

The legendary musician Carlos Santana has purchased a melodious retreat in a lushly tropical setting on the island of Kauai. He bought the Anahola, HI, home for $2.7 million in mid-February, according to real estate records.

Located on the Garden Island’s east coast and featuring a mountain backdrop and ocean views, the 3,938-square-foot custom construction hits all the right notes.

Located on 1.48 acres in “one of Kauai’s best-kept-secret neighborhoods,” the beach is a short walk away. And you can watch whales from the hot tub on the lanai. All that’s missing is the beat of a Santana tune. “Smooth,” anyone?

Built in 2005, the gated property offers four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The home is perched on the top of a hill and offers breathtaking mountain and water views, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows.

The main level includes an open kitchen with an island and bar seating, high ceilings, and an adjacent family room. For more formal meals, there’s also a separate dining room. In addition, the bedrooms open outside, and a huge deck offers outdoor living space.

Santana has owned in Hawaii before. He made waves in 2012, when his uber-luxe Maui retreat splashed onto the market for $7 million.

With a regular gig in Las Vegas, Santana has picked up a huge home there as well. Plus, the legendary guitarist also spends time in Tiburon, CA, where he’s been a long-time beloved local. Now, perhaps the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer felt ready to get back in tune with an aloha vibe.

Known for his band Santana, the 10-time Grammy winner was named one of the “100 Greatest Guitarists” by Rolling Stone.
